Firstly you need to see whether it takes .965" or 1.25" diameter eyepieces. Bintel or Andrews will sell you a budget 25mm eyepiece
for around $30-40, so you can see if the scope is o.k. optically and
mechanically. If it turns out to be in good condition, you could perhaps add 15 and 10mm , the actual best focal length eyepieces will depend
on the focal length of the scope, 6" Newts are typically f/6 or f/8,
900 or 1200mm respectively.
