Canon 50mm f1.8 Mk 1 for $40...
...for me that is!!!!
Popped into the local Cash Converters today - very rarely see anything worth looking at. But this Canon 50mm f1.8 Mk 1 lens on an older camera caught my eye.
Had a quick look - all pristine...glass, casing and mechanics (what there are!!). Much sturdier looking than the Mk 2 - metal mount, distance scale and more user-friendly manual focus ring.
They wanted $50, haggled down to $40
Last one I saw on ebay was going past $150 when I lost interest in the auction!!
Sweet - small victories eh!!??
Another weapon in my growing widefield arsenal!
(...and a sweet little portrait lens to boot)
