Can't stretch the budget to a 550D, I'm afraid, Chris (or did you mean to say 500D instead of 550D?)
I have lenses already so I only need to purchase a body:
450D body - Teds: $745...... Camera Action: $739
500D body - Teds: $955...... Camera Action: $959
Cheers Jason, I checked out D-D-Photographics in Sydney,and their prices a definately less than, say Ted's or Camera Action. They appear to be a similar setup to another company
Digital Rev whom I have bought from in the past.
I am unsure about their warranty arrangement. I know that with Digital Rev, you can only send the camera back to them for warranty repairs. I know a lot of thier stock is ex. Hong Kong. Again, I'm assuming that D-D-Photographics works the same way.
The feature which will be very handy is the Live view with the 3" screen. I notice there is a big difference in the resolution between the 450D and the 500D.
