Hi, and welcome. Sounds like you have a EQ5, without the "H". This is not a goto mount, so the 16x is not a slewing speed but a faster tracking speed. It is still very slow moving so you would not detect any movement with the naked eye, but you would through the telescope eyepiece when centering an object.
