Yes,that problem you had sound exactly the same as the body taken back 'Cameras Direct',when the chap I was speaking said he saw it,he replaced it with a brand new one.The new did not have the problem.
This brings up a very interesting example of "Genuine Canon warranty" vrs grey importers.I am fairly certain 'Cameras Direct' is a grey importer,please correct me if I am wrong.The place where Michael got his from sounds like a canon outlet,I have heard similar stories from around the world where such an example as michael had from a 'genuine canon outlet',that they turn their back on you if you have a problem.And people say you should'nt buy from a grey importer!Makes you think
