Here is an image of Orion Neb I did in EasyHDR to show the Trap (usually burnt out) in the centre of the Neb.
It is made up by stacking same exposures, then all the different exposures layered in EasyHDR. You can do the same in PhotoShop if you want to.
But it shows how it works by stacking the matching exposures together first. Then layering all the different stacked images into a High Dynamic Range image.
