Hi all,
BMAstro will have its next dark sky session at Katoomba Airfield on the 22nd of Feb.. Of course this all depends on the weather and fire conditions on the day.
The Airfield however is now only open to members and their guests. This is because of several websites declaring that the Airfield was open to public access. This resulted in unannounced visitors appearing at our sessions, and some people jumping the fence to enter the property. So to control this situation we have had to implement this condition to entry.
Katoomba Airfield is and always has been private property, and has never been freely open to the public.
The only exception to this is for groups that have arranged for a Sky Tour session with the Club.
