When setting up for autoguiding with the DSI Pro ( which seems to be power hungry ) I connected a 5met usb extension lead to the short lead from the camera but the camera would not connect.
I replaced the standard 5met usb cable with a 5met usb repeater cable and the camera now fires up every time.
Tried using a powered hub but for some reason the DSI dosn't like the hub any where in the line.
Our lappy has two usb2 ports one of which is used for the DSI.
all other usb2 cables are connected to a PCMCIA card and kept separate from the DSI.
This works for us
