If you want a budget all round scope for both DSO and Planetary imaging then a 150mm f5 or 150mm f6 newtonian reflector will sit on your HEQ5 mount and provide enough aperture and focal length to image most objects with good detail either with a DSLR or Astro CMOS camera
I used a 150mm f6 newt on a HEQ5 and DSLR in Sydney for 3 years and only a 4 months ago progressed to a ZWO cooled OSC camera
Here’s some images taken in Sydney ( Bortle 7/8 zone ) with the 150mm f6 newt and my new ZWOASI2600MC camera
The planetary images were captured with my 10 year old Canon 600D

Cheers
