This is a small and mod faint eg quite elong in PA 15, probably 50" x 10" of almost homogenous LSB mist, weak central brightening with no sign of core or nucleus.

Of these three in an almost Eq tri triangle and 15' apart, -88 is best though all three are very faint eg and look somewhat similar.

-88 is a very compact, round quite LSB faint eg probably only 20" diameter and appears 8' S of a slightly yellowish mag 9.5 *. Grows slightly to centre without zones, core or nucleus.

-72 is perhaps even smaller, 10-20" diameter round spot of gossamer of very, very LSB and no structure visible.

-14 is similar save that it seems to be surrounded by a slightly larger outer halo that is occasionally visible and tenuous, extending its diameter to 30"?

This eg is found immediately N of a small RA tri of mag 14 *s. Closest to the star that makes the RA. Small and slightly elong in PA 90, 40" x 20" seems to have a slightly brighter streak through the major axis to which it grows slightly with a very faint stellaring or *ar nucleus. Quite LSB.

NGC 1402 Galaxy *
RA: 03h 39m 30.5s Dec: -18° 31' 36"

This eg appears in the same field as the bright Fornax cluster members NGCs 1400 & 1407 that are both very bright. It makes an Eq tri with these two about 12' a side. Small and round, about 40" diameter growing slightly to centre where there is a faint but distinct *ar nucleus that sits in a relatively HSB spot-type core.

IC 343 Galaxy *
RA: 03h 40m 07.1s Dec: -18° 26' 36"

This eg is 8' due N of NGC 1407 and sits on the edge of a small tri of faint stars mags 12-13. Seems slightly elong in about PA 90, oval 50" x 30" lowish but not too bad SB growing broadly and slightly to centre without zones, core or apparent.

x185 27' TF, x247 20' TF

NGC 1397 Galaxy *
RA: 03h 39m 46.9s Dec: -04° 40' 17"

This is a very small fairly LSB, pretty faint round eg that is only 20-30" diameter. Very diffuse-edged, grows slightly and broadly to centre without core, zones or nucleus.

NGC 1405 Galaxy *
RA: 03h 40m 18.8s Dec: -15° 31' 52"
Mag: 16.4 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 1.5'x0.5' Class: S0: sp

-05 is to the N and -13 is to the S and they are about 6' apart. Of these two strangely enough, -13 seems the brighter or at least has better SB. It is pointed at from the S by a small, lengthened triangle of 14th mag *s. Quite small, 20-30" diameter and round and seems to have a threshold mag *ar magnitude.

-13 has exceptionally LSB, extremely faint and is slightly elong in PA 0, 50 x 30" with very diffuse ill-defined edges with essentially no central brightening or structure.

This is a small but fairly HSB eg that has a 10th mag * about 12' SE. Round, fairly good SB, diffuse-edged round halo about 50" diameter growing slightly to centre but the inner quarter (core), strongly to a small mag 13.5 sharp-spot at centre.

These three form a RA Tri and all fit comfortably in the one field.

-45 is the faintest and smallest of the three, round, about 30" diameter with a faint, tenuous outer halo with indefinite boundaries and dominated by a faint stellaring at centre that doesn't seem to have any surrounding core.

-46 is elong in about PA 60, oval, 1' x 40" with a substantial, maybe 20" x 10" slightly brighter core zone with a faint *ar nucleus at centre.

-80 is about 2' N of a mag 11 * that is quite distracting. Oval 40" x 20" of consistent pretty low SB with indefinite edges and no apparent core or nucleus.

IC 347 Galaxy *

This eg is found 7' NNW of an 10th mag *. Slightly elong in about PA 150, 30" x 20" with not much of an outer halo but has a mod brighter small if not spot-type core zone.

This is a quite tiny eg that is very faint and in a blank field. No more than 20" diameter, round very LSB growing slightly to centre without apparent core, zones or nucleus.

IC 350 Galaxy *

Mag: 14.5 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 0.9'x0.9' Class: Sab
P.A.: --- Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: PGC *

This eg appears W by 3.5' from a mag 10.5 *. Very LSB pretty small eg about 30-40" diameter. Grows broadly and slightly to centre without core, zones or nucleus apparent.

x185 27' TF, x247 20' TF

NGC 1445 Galaxy *

This eg forms a small eq tri with mags 12.5 and 14 *s to its NNW and W respectively. Really quite small to tiny round, LSB spot of gossamer, about 30" diameter growing slightly to centre without apparent core, zones or nucleus.

-52 is easily the brightest of this pair and -55 is to its ESE by about 7'. -52 is an elong eg roughly in about PA 90, though it is crossed by a bar in PA 0. Oval halo seems probably 1.5' x 40" dilute outer halo growing weakly to a slightly brighter bar crossing the halo at right-angles that it turns grows to centre where there is a very faint *ar nucleus.

-55 is only a tiny spot about 15" diameter of consistent V/LSB gossamer with no central brightening.

These two are in adjacent fields basically N-S of each other and sep by about 16'.

-47 is a couple of arcmins W of a mag 8* that is quite distracting. Tiny spot of gossamer haze, about 20" diameter with no apparent structure. Very faint and LSB.

-50 is also very small and round. Has no *s associated. Very small, 30" diameter round spot very LSB and quite faint though a little brighter than -47, grows slightly to centre where there is a faint hint of an occasional stellaring.

These three are in a trio in an almost Eq tri about 6' a side with -41 to the W and -51 & -49 N-S of each other. Inside the tri made by the egs, is a smaller tri of mags 12.5-14 *s. -41 is the brightest followed by -49.

-41 is elong in about PA 90 about 1' x 20" and points at the stars in the centre of the tri. Reasonable SB outer halo growing to a small, mod brighter similarly elong core zone.

-49 is about 20-30" diameter, round growing slightly to centre where there is a hint of a tiny faint stellaring.

-51 is maybe a little bigger than -49, 30" diameter but is otherwise basically the same other than having slightly lower SB.

NGC 1464 (NGC 1471) Galaxy *

These two are about 10' apart and basically N-S of each other with -67 to the N.

-67 appears to the NE of a small tri of mags 10, 10.5 & 12 *s. Small, round spot probably almost 30" diameter growing broadly and slightly to the centre without core, zones or nucleus. SB is pretty low.

-70 is a quite elong little smudge in PA 15 soft and LBS quite elong 1' x 20" with a hint of a small, elong, slightly brighter core zone at centre.
