AP recommend cleaning optics with acetone. Contact the seller. Ask whether they are OK with you gently cleaning the lens....as this simple fix may be a whole lot easier and less costly in time an money than returning it.

If not. Leave it alone! Return it as is.

I tried to gently wipe it, it has a thickness to it, so i dont think it would be solvent.



And if the Bird droppings had eaten into the paint of a new car, i definately wouldnt be handing over a cheque until it was replaced.
