Diffraction spikes are Ok the scope and target will often determine the extent the spikes
Programs like Starspike Pro really do a good job with enhancing DS even when they appear in the image due to the scope used
The FOV, type of target etc will also determine whether DS are appropriate when imaging with a refractor
