APO triplets with ED, FPL51 or FPL53 glass are all heavy.

Check the (extensive) range at https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop...Refractor.html

- look for the triplets - and check their mass. The ES equivalent scopes will be quite similar mass.

I'd also suggest that if you are aiming to do AP buy one with a built-in flattener - ie a quad or 5-element scope, the result is better than starting wth a triplet and adding a generic flattener.

FWIW I have a 70mm quad flat-field APO, and yes its quite a hefty little beast.
