The 70-200 f/2.8 is very highly regarded.
The f/4 has a slight edge over it since it's not a 2.8.
I prefer the f/2.8 since I can use the extra ap for astro work.

I was going to suggest the 70-200 f4 + 1.4x if your budget can stretch.
