Yes I deal with RBI with the u9000 chip. I have both a 16803 and u9000, with the u9000 being one of the first chips. I do have pre-flash avalible but I do not like the noise it adds. So I do a pretty good dither and use strong rejection methods to deal with it. I normally only shoot one target a night so it is somewhat limiting. The 16m has no issues.
On the other had it is very sensitive at my FL of 4300mm. I am part of an internation team who studies Star Streams and recently a professional at Max-Planck measured my detections down to 29 mag/arcsec2 from my back yard
