Sorry Glen, I only just saw your question. Warwick Gliding Club is not too bad for observing - certainly better than Watt's Bridge Airfield in terms of light pollution on the horizon and general seeing conditions. I haven't been there for a while now, as it was arranged through SEQAS, who more recently have been frequenting Watt's Bridge.
