Why do you want to consider an IR upgrade?
The two choices are:
1. Remove the Colour correction filter and get better Ha responce - and a red cast in normal photographs
2. As above but remove also the front AA/Dust filter to extend the wavelength sensitivity into the UV and IR
Clip in filters from Astronomiks can re-compensate for "holiday snaps"
