I am trying to track down an affordable infrared / thermal camera I can use in my portable planetarium (on programs about the electromagnetic spectrum).
My googling online has only come up with cameras with a build in screen. Is anyone aware of a low end (i.e. affordable) ccd/cmos camera that I could put a visible light blocking filter on?
I basically want it to point at school students so they can see themselves at infrared wavelengths? Ideally, I would find one that will plug into my computer/data projector so the whole class can see the image (projected on the dome).
