Resale value, if you ever intend to sell it, is a touch higher if autofocus and sonic cleaning are retained in the mod.
You might also wish to throw a Nikon lens on the camera with an adapter and a Kolari Color Correction filter for low light daytime photography. I'm sure you're going to use some of that great Nikon glass for astrophotography?
I know the A7S has been selling well but there are still A7S's sitting on camera store shelves in Canada (and I think the USA).
