Creating an astro consumer digital camera list

I am in the process of deciding whether to create a camera database/look up table for my Asterism program or have the user enter channel mulitplier values for their camera and write that to a file, to be used over and again.

If the list of cameras, typically in use, is not overly long a dropdown list and LUT of prepopulated values might be more convenient. Adding to the LUT over time.

There are obvious choices among the Canon family, though some may not be used widely these days...

20Da, 60Da 450D. 1000D, 1100D, 5D - MK II and III, 7D... as a starting point

Nikon

Fuji

Pentax

Sony

It would be helpful to know what people are using and which types are popular.

Which consumer digital camera are you using for astro, macro or micro photography?

Having asked the question, I see the risk... I am not asking about individual camera preference or the merits of one over the other.
