The best nights stargazing and planet hopping l have ever had and l didn't even have my telescope. (Bresser 152L frac)
No clouds, crescent moon went down early.
Jupiter, Saturn and I'm guessing Mars and Venus.
I did have my 10x50 bino's and cruised the milkyway and grinned like an idiot.
The whatever galaxy in the southern sky was easily picked out as a peanut sized blur. Star clusters galore.
I have zero knowledge of the sky apart from planets and the southern cross
Just had to share this wonderful night's experience.
May head back up there in two weeks if it's clear, or somewhere else.
There is legal and easy access to the top of the rock by 4wd or a few minutes walk. Not out of the question to walk a scope up as long as it's one trip. Too much for two trips. (Muscat or Toquay consumption er um)
400km NE of Perth up past Mukinbudin.
