Hi all,
Here is an untracked widefield shot of the LMC from a camping trip on the weekend. This is a combination of 11x30 sec exposures with a tripod-mounted K100d, 50mm lens at f/2.0, 800iso (plus 6 dark exposures). Stacked in DSS, and adjusted in PS7.
There was quite a bit of haze around (see the sunset photo in this thread:
http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=50807 ) and therefore the transparency wasn't great, so I'm quite surprised how much detail I captured. I could probably improve the image with some more adjustments in Photoshop - what do you think?
