This might be of interest to lodestar owners. The USB/ST4 plug design is a disaster waiting to happen. There have been a number of reports online where people ripped off the plugs or simply cut the cables flush with the back of the guider. Even though you can find a few commercial solutions to protect the connections for ~$1.50 you can get a PVC joiner in your local Bunning's plumbing aisle that will fit perfectly.
