EQMOD Sync function does definitely work in Stellarium using Keyboard function Cntrl + Shift +1
The trick is to press Cntrl down hold then Shift down hold then a quick press of number 1
I was pressing all 3 keys simultaneously which doesn’t work
I slewed to 5 Stars in various locations and Sync’d all of them which was registered in EQMOD ( extended view ) Alignment/ Sync section in Point Count
box
Another trick is you must have the EQMOD control pad in default view not extended view otherwise Sync function won’t work as well
Boy what a arm wrestle this has been
Gion Kunz never mentioned about these little micro managed procedures in Stellarium
Anyway I’ve nailed it after many hours
