As Duncan said and as mentioned on
the Astonomik website, the EOS clip filters can't be used with Canon's EF-S range of lenses, only their EF lenses. You can probably use it with 3rd party Canon-compatible lenses like Sigma, Tokina, Tamron etc as long as they don't protrude into the camera body like the EF-S ones do.
You could possibly use a short extension tube like a 12mm one, but for normal photography it would be pretty useless. Extension tubes shorten the focus distance, so you'd lose infinity focus and depending on what focal length your lens is, you may not be able to focus any further that a couple of metres. So it
could be done, but wouldn't recommend it as it'd be next to useless.
