Paul, are you talking about doing this in the dark, or in daylight?

If doing it in the dark, most camcorders will give infrared performance
if you use an IR illuminator. This can be as simple as a torch with some
exposed and developed colour 35mm film, such as the black bits at the
end of your negatives. I haven't checked, but you can probably buy IR
filter for such purposes on Ebay.

I'd be suprised if you couldn't get the same results from a webcam or
cctv camera.
