Thanks, Dunk. The ASI1600 looks like a great fit for this application. The smaller sensor won't tax lenses too much and low read noise will allow short subs on a less capable mount like the Star Adventurer. The theory looks good, apart from taking a bit of a punt on how well my NB filters will work at very fast f-ratios. Now I just need to prove it in practice
