Comet Obs 17th & 19th October 2010
Comet 103P/ Hartley 2
2010 Oct 16.64 UT; m1= 6.7; Dia= 11'; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39)
Coma large and diffuse with a small c/c, almost starlike. Coma slightly elongated to the North, no tail, enhances with Swan filter, slight interference by moonlight.

Coma large and diffuse, no tail, slightly elongated to North.

Coma elongated to the North, no tail, central condensation tightening to centre, not quite stellar.

2010 Oct 18.71 UT; m1= 4.7; Dia= 30'; DC= 1; 0.0 E (Naked eye)
Coma very diffuse and barely visible with naked eye using averted vision, comet was 9 degrees above local horizon at the time of observation, limiting mag 6.0 in the vicinity of the comet.

No tail, coma diffuse, moonlight interference.
