Has anyone tried using a Sony DSC-P73 for taking astro pix??

It's a 4.1 mega pixel camera, the lens is f=6-18mm 1:2.8-5.2, and it also has a nifty MpegmovieVX mode for capturing moving images.

If I can use it for some basic imaging, can someone recommend accessories and how to go about using it with my Skywatcher SW600 8 inch f5???

Any help is much appreciated.
