Did anyone see a lunar eclipse in flight ?
Last week I booked a ticket to Sydney. I considered to fly on Jan 31 during night to see the lunar eclipse (max: 13:30 UTC /23:30 AEST) which is visible in East Asia and Australia.
But the flights which were affordable/convenient arrive too early in SYD (before sunset / eclipse) or arrive early morning which means the eclipse takes place when still in daylight above the Indian Ocean or Asia.
So I booked a few days later.
My question is: did somebody see a lunar eclipse in-flight ?
The only nice view of the (non-eclipsed) Full Moon was a moonset on a flight Dubai-Johannesburg in 2013.
