A Canon 14-24 is likely to be very good as Canon no doubt will want to raise the bar on the superb Nikon 14-24 like they did with the 24-70 L 11. The Fuji 14mm F2.8 seems to be as good as the Nikon 14-24, no distortion and sharp in the corners. But thats an APS sized lens.

H, I have read several times AF in Live View can be more accurate than normal contrast detect AF. PDAF is slower but more accurate. A number of cameras using the Sony Exmor 16.3mp latest chip has this feature and that is the consensus on Sony's PDAF. Some landscape imagers only us Live View to focus because of this.

Even 21mp in an APS sensor may be pushing it if Canon is still using its existing chip architecture. They will probably rely heavily on Digic 5 processor to do noise reduction.
