It's worth remembering that the spatial distribution of the debris that causes these showers isn't homogeneous so meteor frequency varies both with geographic location and time.

I didn't go out last night. Was too tired after an unsuccessful attempt at an asteroidal occultation up the Hume Highway on Tuesday night.

It looks like ACT NSW is going to be heavily clouded tonight, Victoria clear.

Hi Joe,

I also took the night off after Adelheid.

I got up this morning at 3am for the Geminids, but the eastern sky was clouded out. No chance to see the moon.

I may try again tonight (tomorrow morning) but the window of opportunity is very short.
