You can certainly do untracked Milky Way nightscape imaging with a 35mm (or even 50mm) lens these days - especially with fast f-ratios like f1.4 & cameras that allow 6400 or even 10000 ISO to be usable.
Stacking programs like Sequator allow for stacking of untracked images. It's more work stitching all the panels together but when done right the results are very impressive.

Nothing wrong with the Samyang 14mm of course (as long as you get a good copy) - I have one & have been very happy with it but I would love a fast 35mm Sigma Art. 😉
