Asimov, that was my worry initially that taking out the lens of the toucam, putting other eyepieces in the way, would give me at least 200x or more depending on the eyepiece. A long phonecall with Matt at Telescopes and Astronomy yielded that this is not the case. I asked him very simply "if the lens of the toucam is off and i set it up with the eyepiece projection, will my laptop see the same image as my eye would see thru the eyepiece?"
He said yes. There may be some small differences, but no magnification differences.
I will know by weds ish, if Matt is wrong, then I will send back to him
I do not believe my 40mm will fit, it is too long.
