After four years in Israel, and as an observer, I wholeheartedly agree Glen. South of the Equator is the place to be, maybe as far north as 20 deg S if you want to get Andromeda at a bit of elevation.

I grew up in the northern hemisphere and it just can't compete with the southern sky wonders. Imagers want their target objects to be up high enough to avoid looking through alot of atmosphere, so low angle targets like Andromeda are out anyway.
