Hi All,

The night sky above The University of Melbourne yesterday was covered with low level clouds, so we (a solid contingent of 400+) cannot see the Moon with our optical trains and missed out on being counted on the World Record attempt.

However, we had two half hour lectures on astrophysics starting 6.30 pm from Professor Andrew Melatos and Dr Hannah Middleton of Melb Uni and they were fascinating and wonderful, with attendees putting up their ABC table top scopes on the lecture seat tablets.

Photos to follow.

Hope all the other events fared much better Australia wise!

Kind regards,

Bill
