Don't know what the V3 cams are capable of, but the V2 were good for the Moon, but not much else. The 800 x 600 is possible as I used to use it in that mode. The body is about 0.5mm smaller in diameter than an I 1/4" (32mm) eyepiece so fits in the focuser where it touches . Put a bit of 0.25mm shim around it and its OK. I was in touch with one of the techs for a while (James ?) at Liquid Digital Solutions re using it for astro imaging, so if you get good results let them know as they were quite interested to hear it was being used for that.

Cheers
