That’s interesting, since both Roland and Yuri have said it was perfectly fine to use their oil-spaced telescopes with a Herschel wedge.

I have also read that 80mm CFF (oil-spaced) was designed as a portable high quality scope for capturing images during total solar eclipses.

Might be best contacting the manufacturer (CFF) to confirm that.
