Bolt on or thread

I am getting this imaging train finalised - last nights test runs showed me incredible promise ahead, so let's nail it down.

SBIG offers the choice of either bolted on or threaded on adaptation - there are 4 x M3 grub screws in the face plate that can be removed to bolt an adapter on. I built my adapter in the Precise Parts model, going from Tak M72 to either T thread or bolt on.

I am thinking MAYBE to go thread so I can add any accessories (or have the terminal thread M48 so I can screw on a filter then use my M48 to T2 adapter to the camera). I am sure bolt on would be better, but I would have to ask PP to machine in an M48 thread on the inner face of the flange so I can screw on any M48 filters (I am sure they would do this - for a price!).

So, any thought on bolt on or thread it on? (bolted left, threaded right)
