Hi all,

Well my Canon 1000d finally blew it's shutter. I do lots of timelapse stuff and managed to get at least 50,000 plus frames out of it.

I sent it back to Canon but the repair cost is about $490 and I can replace for $609 with a new one.

But what I thought is the noise of the 1000D isn't very nice especially taking into consideration that when shooting at night time I do ISO1600 for 30 seconds.

I've considered upgrading a little. What are peoples thoughts of getting a 450D or 50D body with regards to noise levels ?
