Daniel is right. , these while good for the moon and brighter planets will soon loose their appeal and those eq1 mounts are an exercise in frustration for a newbie , aperture rules so go for a 6 inch Dobsonion , way more user-friendly and will show so much more.
That said this would beat , hands down the scope that I started with many years ago
