Sort of real I guess. There was some ‘linear fit’ involved in balancing the SII, Ha and OIII before colour combination (in the Rosette) so the presence of certain bands of light is shown but perhaps not on their relative abundance??? Also the Ha is 5nm and the SIII and OIII are 3nm (all unbinned 1x1) with roughly equal exposure times...probably a way of combining with some proportional accuracy but I follow my eyes at this point. This HOO IC2177 combo didn’t take much tweaking. I think applying a background neutralization (? or similar) had the same effect as the linear fit in the other image
