I cannot add anything to the current discussion except to add that most every prediction of "the future" has proven to be incorrect. One only needs to read past articles in Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, etc to see how wrong we all get it no matter how hard we try. The really big advances seem to come unexpectedly from left field and change everything.
