The works 5D is sensitive to magnetic fields. We have a machine which generates quite large fields and the 5D flickers in live view (and on record) when it is in proximity to the field.
Note this field is not large as far as MRI would be concerned. It does not get over a couple of milliTeslas.
Consider moving transformers etc away from the camera.
