Hi Bob,

I havnt used your camera before so maybe someone else can help. I have to ask the obvious question though. How do you know the telescope is in focus if you cant see the trees? Unless you have an eyepiece parfocalized with the camera then you cant be sure. Remember the camera has a different focal length than an eyepiece so in general focusing the scope then swapping in the camera would mean the camera is not focused.

Sometimes to get cameras to come to focus in a DOB you need to move the mirror up the tube. Sometimes in refractors you need to add an extension tube to get focus.

One suggestion. PHD guiding is easy to get focus on. If you download this and use it then you should get something. If you rack the focuser all the way in and all the way out in small steps and still cant get anything then you need to shorten or lengthen your optical train to get focus, .... or the camera is busted maybe?
