Having everything already set up makes a huge difference. You are far more likely to take a chance the weather will be ok or set up later in the evening when the skies clear. The programming is not difficult to get into if it interests you enough. Part of the appeal for me is making stuff.

Hi Jack. I was going down the NINA path however there is an issue with the ASCOM driver for my camera that meant I couldn't use 2x2 binning for RGB with NINA and that was a show stopper for me. I saw on their Discord that someone else was asking for Native QSI driver compatibility however he didn't get much support from the devs.

The guider recovery is so important if you want to leave it unattended. Previously I've had many occasions where it loses the guide star, tries to recover and ends up in a different part of the sky. That's the main reason I would end up having to watch it.
