fitting a DIY focuser to my new BD 80ED.

Just unboxed the scope and the rain started. SO I guess I have time.

I have bought a MyFocuserPro2 from Bob Brown in NZ and want to marryit up with a standard NEMA17 motor via some sort of bracket. The issue really is going to be how to attach the motor to the focuser.

I have an L-shaped bracket courtesy of Mr. Brown but the problem is that there is a gap of about 8-10mm between the bracket and the focuser base on the scope. I'm sure I could fudge it a get a "near-enough" arrangement to work but I'd rather like to be a little more "dainty" than that.

It occurred to me that there may be someone who has alredy gone down this path and devised a better bracket or - better still - had one printed. I don't have one of those fancy printer thingys and don't want to have to buy one just for this.

Any suggestions?

Peter
