Definitely "ZUESS", Paul. When I first saw the name (especially on an optical item) I thought it was just a touch cheeky.
When you search for the name, you can see a few people mistakenly referring to their (almost certainly Zeiss) optics as "Carl" (or even "Karl") "Zuess".
