What kind of image to you get with an Orion Glass Solar filter?
I bought an Orion Glass solar filter for my 80ED recently (second hand).
It produces a nice white circle.
I'm sure it would highlight a venus transit, if that would occur again in my lifetime, but other than that, it is just a plan circle (I'm mono imaging).
Is there something that I need to know about imaging with this filter that will show me more. I know it's not a PST or Lunt or anything, but I expected to see more than just a white disc.
Do I need to do something different to get more out of it, or are we just living in times where there is no solar activity for the moment?
