Yeah, $50 entry is a bit off-putting for a first time competition with undisclosed prizes. I may enter the deep space category, I dunno... entries close 1st of August so have a while to decide.
On a related topic, the Malin awards are $15 per entry. Pretty sure that was $10 in previous years, so that's gone up too..
